How long does the staging stay in place?

Stageplicity staging packages last for an initial period of five weeks.

If the house is not sold within that time, the contract can often be extended on a weekly basis.

If your home sells within 5 weeks – Congratulations, but sorry no refunds or discount.

What is the difference between full and partial staging?

Full Staging: Used for vacant properties, involves planning the placement of furniture, décor settings, art and accessories in all key living areas.

Partial/Occupied Staging: We use some of the homeowner’s existing furniture while adding staging accessories, sometimes homes are being lived in by the owners.

How much notice does Stageplicity need?

While we can work with 48 hours' notice, it is best to provide one to two weeks'notice to secure a date.

When should I stage my home?

Staging should be completed before the property is listed for sale and photographed. Over 80% of buyers start their search online. It is important to complete all renovations, painting, and cleaning before we bring in our staging furniture and décor.

What types of homes do you stage?

From modern family homes to character properties and lifestyle homes, every property is unique.  We tailor our staging to suit the style of the home and the buyers it is likely to attract.

Will Stageplicity offer outdoor staging?

Yes, no problem outdoor furniture and accessories can be included to improve the aesthetics of the outdoor area and also add to the street appeal,this will come with an additional fee.

How far do you travel?

We’re proudly based in Southland and work throughout the wider region.  If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

 

When should I contact you?

The earlier the better.  Getting in touch before your property goes to market gives us time to create a staging plan and ensure everything is ready for photography and open homes.

Can we use our own furniture and artwork?

Not every home needs full staging.  Sometimes a few carefully chosen pieces and some styling advice can make all the difference.  We’ll chat through your property and recommend the option that best suits your home and budget.

Terms & Conditions

1. Stageplicity -Minimum Hire Period

The furniture hire lasts at least 5 weeks.

This minimum period covers setup and photography.

If you cancel early or sell the property before the 5 weeks end, you will not get a refund for the initial hire fee.

 

2. Stageplicity Payment Terms

Vacant Properties

You must pay a 50% deposit to confirm the booking.

The rest of the payment is due within 7 days after staging begins.

Partial Staging (you still live in the property)

You must pay the full amount upfront.

You also pay a $500 bond/security deposit.

The bond is refunded after de-staging if everything is returned in good condition.

 

3. Stageplicity End of Hire / Extensions

Stageplicity will contact you 1 week before the hire period ends.

You must decide whether:

you want the furniture removed, or

you want to extend the hire.

If the house sells early and you want the furniture removed, you must give at least 3 working days’ notice.

 

4. Responsibility for Damage

You are responsible for looking after the furniture and accessories.

Stageplicity recommends taking photos when the furniture is first installed to record any existing damage.

If items are damaged while in your care, you may have to pay repair or replacement costs.


5. Rules for Partial Staging (you still live
in the property)

If you’re still living in the house:

The staged furniture is mainly for display, not everyday use.

If you move or pack away items, you should:

photograph the original setup, and

put everything back exactly as it was.

You are responsible for:

wear and tear,

dry cleaning costs,

damage caused by normal living use.

 

6. Pets & Animals

Pets must stay off all staged furniture.

You must keep the property secure so animals cannot enter.

Damage caused by pets or animals is not covered by Stageplicity insurance.

You will be billed directly for any pet-related damage.

 

7. Artwork & Wall Damage

Stageplicity may hang artwork using hooks or nails.

In newly painted or new-build homes, they may avoid hanging items to protect walls.

Stageplicity not responsible for minor marks or damage caused by staging or removal.

Examples include:

nail holes, floor marks, carpet indentations from furniture.

 

8. Insurance

Stageplicity insurance covers theft only if there was forced entry.

Theft without forced entry is your responsibility.

You must report any damage or loss within 24 hours.

If your actions void their insurance, you may have to cover the costs.

If furniture is badly damaged due to your negligence:

you may have to pay repair/replacement costs, or

up to a $1,500 insurance excess.

If insurance money is not enough to replace damaged furniture:

Stageplicity can end the agreement,

keep the hire fees/bond,

and charge you additional costs.

 

9. Marketing Photos

You allow Stageplicity to take photos of the property before and after staging.

They can use those photos for advertising and marketing.

 

10. Liability Disclaimer

The staged furniture is meant for display purposes only.

Using it is at your own risk.

Stageplicity says it is not responsible for:

injuries,

losses,

inconvenience,

or issues involving people visiting the property.

 

11. Acceptance of Terms

Paying the deposit or full amount means you legally agree to all these terms.

 

 

Stageplicity - Wants you to pay attention to the following

These are the most important points:

No refund during the first 5 weeks, even if the house sells quickly.

You may be charged for damage, wear, stains, or pet issues.

Insurance protection is limited in some situations.

Stageplicity can use photos of your property for marketing.

Minor wall/floor/carpet damage from staging is considered acceptable.
